Primary & Secondary Education
In 2009, the State Board of Education recognized the Walton County School District as an “Academically High-Performing School District” in the state for the fourth time. Only 21 school districts statewide met the requirements for the special designation.
The Walton Career Development Center, part of the Walton County School District, provides high school students with classroom training and hands-on experiences in a variety of career fields ranging from information technology to healthcare to building construction. High school students can gain college credits while completing their courses.
