Lovers of the visual and performing arts have nearly endless opportunities for satisfaction in Walton County. A number of special events each year celebrate painting, photography and sculpture. Additionally, the Walton County Tourist Development Council works with community groups and government agencies to encourage continued advancement of local arts programs and selects annually an “Artist of the Year.” Walton County is home to a wide range of performing arts from theatrical performances to outdoor concerts and entertainment.

With friendly, family-owned restaurants and some of the most highly regarded restaurants in all of Florida, a great meal is never far in Walton County. The area boasts a AAA Four-Diamond award winner and six restaurants that were ranked by Florida Trend Magazine in the Top 500 Restaurants in Florida.
Shopping
Shoppers’ tastes vary as much as diners’ do, but that’s no problem in Walton County. Designer fashions are found right around the corner from antiques, locally-produced art and home accessories. Shopping options range from historic downtown locales to beach-front shops and boutiques to newly developed town centers to the nation’s largest designer outlet center.
